Before Blinds was started after a visit to a customer’s home who had spent $1500 on 3 shutters over a master bathroom tub.  This is a window she would never open because of privacy concerns, as well as trying to step over the tub to open it, which she viewed as a safety concern.

I walked out of her home and said to myself, “What can I do to be able to get to people BEFORE they buy their blinds?” I stopped for a moment and said to myself, “What did I just say?”  I immediately went online and searched for beforeblinds.com, and fortunately it was available, so I bought the domain name Beforeblinds.com along with many others that were associated with it.

Tim’s 2 cents

I have owned a window tinting business for over 25 years and believe the reason we have windows is to allow natural light in and enjoy the view.  The bathroom mentioned above basically had no natural light or view since she kept the shutter closed.

Window film/tinting is very misunderstood product!!!

It’s to dark, to shiny, doesn’t work, bubbles, peels, cracks your windows and the biggest MYTH is window film causes seal failure (foggy windows).

The Truth: Window film comes in many different forms, from clear to dark that control heat and fading, frosted/decorative films (sky is the limit). WINDOW FILM DOES NOT CAUSE SEAL FAILURE! INSULATED WINDOWS FAIL AT THE SAME RATE REGARDLES OF WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD. ASK ANY ONE FOR THEIR DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE THAT WINDOW FILM CAUSES SEAL FAILURE. YOU WILL NEVER HERE FROM THEM AGAIN!
